The Strawberry Hill High Stakes Backgammon Tournament

The 3rd Annual Strawberry Hill High Stakes Backgammon Tournament is scheduled for the weekend of June 6th - 8th. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better with the aim to become a featured event on the international backgammon calendar.

Strawberry Hill provides a stunning and magical backdrop to what has become the "coolest" backgammon tournament worldwide.

Participants will be playing in one of the most beautiful settings for approximately J$1.5M (US$20,000) in cash & prizes.

There are a maximum of 32 entrants allowed and the tournament will span two days. (Sat June 7th & Sun June 8th) with meals, drinks* (sponsored product) and a reggae concert all included in the entrance fee of J$35,000 (US$500). 85% of all entrance fees are put back into the cash prize pool.

Strawberry Hill is also offering a special room rate of appx. US$250 per room per night (2 NIGHTS MINIMUM). There are 16 rooms available and people are asked to book early as space will be at a premium.

There will be a poolside welcome cocktail party and registration at Strawberry Hill on Friday June 6th at 7:00pm for those that wish to come early, settle in and enjoy the ambiance for the entire weekend.

This event will kick off the premier backgammon tournament in Jamaica and we welcome all overseas visitors to come and experience what will be a fantastic event and a magical visit to our beautiful island of Jamaica. Flights to Kingston are recommended as Strawberry Hill lies in mountains overlooking the capital city.
